The Ricochet skid plate is very solid and good quality. It took me about ten minutes to take off the factory one and add the Ricochet skid plate.

These are very easy to put on and really help with gripping your back with your legs, better than frame tape too imo since you don't have to re apply them ever and they last up to 4 years no problem.

The only thing I regret is the piece that goes over the linkage isn't straight so it isn't conducive to sliding over rock it kind of catches them. There are better options out there

So I've got this particular model on two bikes now. A 21 T7, and a 24 FE501s. In both cases, out of the box fitment was pretty close, with only a little bit of shoving needed. It's plastic, so c'est la vie. That said, it'll conform to your bike after a heat cycle or two, and there won't be any more shoving during the next removal. Just as well, like on my T7 I had to, being HDPE you can thermoform these plates a bit as needed. Eg, on the T7 I took a heat gun to the section that covers the water pump and molded it much closer to the bike, where previously it was sticking out real far and catching on my boot buckles. For durability these are pretty tough, and don't get stuck on rocks nearly as bad as aluminum can....hooooowever.... On the FE501 or any similar bike, you may want to put a thin sheet or rubber or something between your frame rails and the plate to keep dirt/rocks from drilling into the metal. The newer KTM/Husky stock plates actually have this molded in. For the T7, beware that even as tough as HDPE is, if you crash down on something hard enough with a 400lb bike, the center can flex. If you're unlucky enough to have rocks or junk wedge in there, you might be doing a field expedient oil pan repair. Recommend tossing in something or just keeping that area clear of pointy things. It's not common, but it's happened a few times in the T7 community that were reported. On both bikes, the linkage arm protection is the big thing, and both plates to a great job there. Just keep grit from building up too much between the plate and linkages.
