Great Adventure tire.
Handles good offroad and pretty good on-road.
It makes lots of noise on the Highway but doesn't bother me. Good wearing tire considering. It is a little expensive though.

Yes for off road no for on road
Update on the front tire after about 1000 miles. I love them off road and hate them on road.

My bike: 1200gs 2015
My riding: aggressive off road and on road. Really about 50/50 wish it was more off road but I ride to my off road locations usually.

As I mentioned before. Off road is great tire just goes where you point it in all conditions wet, dry, gravel, mud, sand you name it.

On the road it breaks down to 2 things.
Limited stability at speed and handling. As compared to the TKC80.
1) speed- the tire has a lower speed rating than the tkc80 even though it is radial. I thought that might be due to the rubber compound (and might be) but it also is just unsafe (wanders) over 75mph. Whereas the tkc80 same size and same bike does just fine up to 120 or so.
2) handling- I could feel the difference in handling right away, but it took me a while to be able to describe it. The tkc80 (and the stock anekee3) tires allowed the bike to turn quickly and effortlessly. Mild counter steer, lean and almost “fall” into the turn. A very nimble feeling. With the gt723 the difference is substantial, the turn in takes more effort and to hold the turn required more bar pressure. For example if turning right I would initiate with a little counter steer and then pull on the right handle and even with a good lean angle I would have to keep pulling on the right bar to maintain the turn.

Both of these traits are evident at full road pressure (40psi) and off-road pressure (28psi). So I ruled out pressure as the cause.

I finally settled on the tire shape as the cause. I heard about this in the past, but while I may have understood it- I really didn’t get it until I road these two tires back to back.

The gt723 has a “flatter” profile and I believe that is what makes it wander at speed and not turn in as easily as the tkc80.

Bottom line for me as I head out for the MABDR in a week or so- I’m switching back to the TKC80. If I had a long all off road trip or a spare set of wheels for serious dirt days I would choose the gt723 hands down.

Sand, Rocks, Mud......No Problem!
I purchased a front and rear within the last couple months. I love these tires! The fronts have great grip on road, equal to a TKC80 if not better and just fantastic off road. They're not cheap but these are my favorite front tire unless I'm doing a lot of street. As for wear, I'm still going through a set so IF the fronts last a good number of miles these could be my permanent front tire until I find something better. For comparison I've used, TKC 80, Tractionator GPS and Tractionator ADV (Used on the TAT) but I'd scrap all those and run just these tires if I could do it again! If you're more of an off road guy I'd say try these GT723 at least once.
