Sportbike Tires from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

Whether you’re on the track, commuting to work or cruising the drag, your sportbike tires need to be ready for anything. Today’s tires look better than ever, exhibiting a sleek, refined appearance. The tread pattern is designed to convey an elegant – yet focused – approach. From the extravagant to the classical, there’s a tire for every style of rider.

Of course, while no one can deny the visual appeal of today’s sportbike tires, everyone knows that’s only half the story. The real value in a tire lies not in its looks, but in its performance. Does it give you the necessary traction to accelerate and stop at an elite level? Does it deliver enhanced cornering ability to carve sharper corners? These tires are all about providing the handling that you expect from a sportbike. And quite frankly, without the right tires, what’s the point?

We carry the brands you’d expect to see – names which are renowned for their high quality tires. Here are just a few of our most popular options:

• Dunlop
• Michelin
• Pirelli
• Shinko
• Continental

Whether you need to be on the cutting edge of race tire technology or just want to outfit an older bike with traditional (yet reliable) tires, you’ll find what you need for your sportbike here. Next level

Always been a Michelin guy, ran more PP3's and Supersport's then I would care to guess, always with "meh" feelings about them. Looking for something different this season I decided "why not" and gave the Supercorsa's a shot. Out of the gate I knew I was sitting on something different, the turn in felt so smooth, nothing like the Michelin's ever felt like. First ride out I had the Pirelli's on the outer lip; I felt so much more feedback coming through, it really felt like the tire's were working with me, telling me when to push it and when to back off. I don't give a sh i t how much these tires cost, they're everything I could ask for and more! A side note... I've never waited more than 2 business days for Rock Mountain products to show up at my doorstep.

Pirelli Performance for a fraction of the cost

After buying my Ducati, I was in love with the Pirelli Supercorsa's performance on twisty hwy trips and track days but after one ride in the rain, I knew I needed to try a different set. I was in the process of swapping my motor on my CLK, so my 848 became my daily driver for a few months during the winter and spring. After thorough research, I chose to give Dunlop Q3's a try and needed front and back tires. I instantly loved them. Faster warm up times then any other tires I have road with. So you don't have to worry about your tires locking up while cruising around town and suddenly having to stop when a car pulls out in front of you. They are hands down the best high performance tires in the cold and rain. Even on the the track, my times are extremely close to when I had supercorsa's on. With saving $100 on just the rear tire while providing better overall performance than any other tire, Q3's are a no brainer for enthusiastic riders. I got 2,800 miles out of my first rear tire with a few track days. Just ordered my second with plenty of life left on the front.

    Actually was for a G650xMoto

I recently found a nail in the rear Shinko Verge on my xMoto.. When I installed the tire they didn't make a Verge 2 in 160/60 17, but I was very happy with the original Verge.. Well, I pulled the nail and while I wasn't overly trusting of a bike tire plug, I tried anyway. I've plugged several tires over the years but this one still had a minor leak that would leave the tire flat again in a couple days.. So, I've installed Verge 2's on my 03' Speed Triple and love them, and since the xMoto already has a Verge 2 on the front, it was time to do the same to the back. I found the Verge 2's to wear great, stick great, and they've give me no reason to not trust them. Good stuff!
