Bought for my wife’s Crf 230f because this is what came on it stock and she liked it. So bought it in soft-medium and she liked it riding behind her I can really see how much this tire grabs and holds on to the ground. I’m thinking about purchasing one for my yz450f. The stock tier she got lasted a long time and held up really good for riding a lot of hard pack she rode on the stock Pirelle fo a little over 9 years.

great long lasting tire for rocky eastern mountain ...

I can't believe how well these tires work. I've tried the newer cheaper tires, hybrids, cheaters, etc and these tires are a great value. They hook up in a wide range of conditions and last a long time. Traction when worn is OK. The tread pattern is big and tall and chunky, doesn't look very high tech, but it works.

Dual sport tires are always a compromise

In the spectrum of dual sport tires, I'd say these are good for a 60/40 offroad/onroad split. Offroad they work well on big heavy thumpers and dry rocky terrain. They aren't quite durable enough for the desert, sidewalls are too thin. And they don't do well in mud in my experience, knobbier are too close together. On the street they perform well enough, offering a smoother ride than a pure motocross tire. My main issue with these are the lifespan. The way I ride I'm lucky to get 3k miles out of them.

    MT43 Rear Trials tire

Amazing when paired with a Michelin Desert Race front for California's mixed terrain. Not so good with mud but even works well in sand. They don't do so well in the rain but it's really a DOT knobbie vs a dual sport tire. It's a different kind of riding vs traditional off-road tires but they don't destroy the terrain, which is great in an eco-concious environment and ensures that i do my part to keep trails open and available.

The Best Non Paddle Sand Tire out there.

I ride a 2018 KTM 450SXF. I live in West Central Florida and I ride mostly high speed whooped out sand tracks. I swapped from a new (not worn at all) Dunlop MX3S rear, which is a good tire in its own right, to the Pirelli soft 410 rear and kept the MX3S front for now. First impression was wow the cornering grip this 410 has in the soft sand is epic. Lean it over as far as you want and it just bites hard and never lets go. The MX3S in these same corners would slide out all over the place at lower speeds and less throttle input vs the Pirelli. Straight line traction is also markedly better with 4th gear power wheelies on demand even in the deepest sand. I Will definitely be switching the front tire over to the Pirelli 410 to match after experiencing the performance change from the rear. I highly recommend these if you ride sand. I picked these over the Michelin Starcross 5 sand after seeing the Starcross 5 rear in person at a dealership. The knobs are so soft on the Starcross 5 sand that you can easily fold them flat against the tire with just your thumb pushing down on them. That’s terrifying if you ever used them on anything but very soft sand the knobs will just fold right over on you and you will lose control of the bike. The Pirelli knobs are very hard and sharp by comparison and you cannot bend them at all.
