The Dunlop MX71 Geomax Hard Terrain motorcycle tire has a profile design with more tread volume (greater land/sea ratio) in the shoulders for excellent cornering grip. The MX71 has a unique placement of "camber traction blocks" for optimum lean-angle traction and grip when exiting corners. The Dunlop Geomax Reinforced Pattern (GRP) is design for enhanced wear and resistance to tread block tearing. The successor to the popular D745 and D739, the GEOMAX MX71 motorcycle tire incorporates innovative features to help deliver optimum performance in hard-pack/blue-groove conditions while also crossing over well into intermediate-terrain conditions.
  • Directional front tire pattern for enhanced grip and cornering traction in hard-pack conditions.
  • Directional and asymmetric rear tire pattern plus "Double TornadoWave" rear tire block distribution for optimum traction and braking ability.
  • Variable spacing between center tread blocks for enhanced performance.
  • Recessed biting edges yield enhanced traction for greater grip throughout a wide range of terrain conditions.

Abuse approved Rear tire. 110/18

Comments On Nov 29, 2014:So far 300 plus miles of abuse, 20 of it flat on the rim lock after a pinch flat. Tire is still in great shape. Northern California Mtn riding conditions were all steep rocky wet single and double track abuse on hills and generally disrespecting the tire. holding up great. Traction is surprisingly good for a harder terrain tire. I will buy again. This is my second. got about 500 miles of abuse out of the first one in same terrain. Still had a few more in it but wanted a fresh tire to roost my buddy with so I changed it. Got about 175 miles out of an MX51 in same terrain /riding. Not much difference in performance between the 2.

its round its black its rubber, its a tire!!!!!!

Comments On Nov 14, 2014:rear tires work fine and hold up well in rocks and iowa hard pack. the fronts hold up well and handle just fine in iowa hard pack but I ruined 1 in the Colorado rocks. the knobs are rounded or chunked like ive seen happen on other tires but they were instead breaking off at the base of the knob and ripping deep enough to expose cords and start leaking tire slime out of every other shoulder lug. I run tubliss and that's why theres tire slime leaking. happy in dirt. not happy in rocks.

best tires

Comments On Aug 27, 2014:Theres a reason many riders choose Dunlop tires!! Theres a reason many of the top AMA Riders prefer Dunlop tires. These tires hook up great of the start, and hook up great out of the corners to get the power where you need it. The grip these tires have is incredible you can drag handlebars and not have to worry about washing out the front end. Best tires money can buy and the only tires ill ever use on my bike. I have ridden Maxxis on this bike, and Michelin and Bridgestone on the CR 125 i used to haveâ?¦Dunlop blows the competition out of the water.

decent but.........

Comments On Jun 15, 2014:Good tire if the ground has some moisture in it. On blue groove it skates far too much when leaned over to be classified as hard terrain. Great braking traction
